Dr. Indrajit Khandekar

Dr. Indrajit Khandekar is the man behind banning the most unscientific and inhumane ‘FINGER TEST/ Virginity test’, author, teacher, speaker, and has interest in policy reformation. He is the man whose suggestions are not only considered by the Government but also by high courts. Recently, his work was also highlighted in Parliament of India. He was instrumental in bringing State Govt. and DHR National Guidelines for forensic medical examination of sexually assaulted cases. He developed a unique Clinical Forensic Medicine Unit (CFMU) and coined the term ‘Forensic Physician’ for the first time in India. He developed unique Forensic Medical & MCCD Software & convinced the government and high court for the same. He has played a key role to stop unnecessary postmortems. He is Official trainer for police department & author of well received Marathi book ‘Medicolegal investigation of crime’ for police officials. He has delivered more than 300 guest lectures in various conferences, CMEs, Workshops for doctors and police. He is MBBS, MD, LLB, and presently working as Professor, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology department at MGIMS- Sewagram & was also an adjunct faculty at Manipal.
