Dr. Deepika Bhandari is working as Assistant Director, Directorate of Forensics Services, Himachal Pradesh since 2019. She is a distinguished Academician and Forensic Expert, and a greatly acknowledged figure in the field of Forensic education.  She has previously headed the Department in the prestigious Institute of Forensic Science, University of Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has done her Ph.D. in Forensic Science from Punjabi University, Patiala. Forensic Education has been one of the most important areas of interest for her. She has been conferred with the Young Researcher Award and Research Excellence Award by Institute of Scholars, Bangalore. She has worked as content writer and speaker for a project of MHRD under the National Mission of Education through ICT for Forensic science and has more than 200 modules to her credit, which are available on SWAYAM portal. She has authored more than 20 research papers in various journals of national and international repute. She is a reviewer for various international journals. She is empanelled as Assessor by Quality Council of India for Sports Authority of India Centers in India. She is also a subject expert for selection in granting The JN Tata Endowment Scholarships for Higher Studies Overseas. She has worked as examiner for various universities. She has delivered lectures as resource person at various institutes for students, police officials, army and judiciary, etc. She has participated and organized various seminars and conferences. She has also worked as Doping Control Officer during the Commonwealth Games, 2010.
